Where are you from: Indianapolis, IN

Where do you live now: Carmel, IN

Education: B.A. in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Arizona State University

Career:  14 years of B2B Sales Experience. I have worked in various manufacturing environments for food and beverages, cosmetics, dietary supplements, industrial cleaners, lubricants and metalworking fluids.

Family life: Married, one son and two stepdaughters and a ridiculously good-looking Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Favorite Indy Eats: Some Guys and Cafe Patachou

Favorite family fun spot/activity: Duckpin bowling at Fountain Square, Children’s Museum and Connor Prairie

Favorite "me-time" activity: reading and bubble baths

What are you reading right now? Secrets of Six Figure Women by Barbara Stanny, Bunmi Laditan’s Confession of a Domestic Failure (hilarious!!!) and for the fam- Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith’s The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales.  Re-reading Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express(join us for movie night in Nov!) and just finished Simone Biles’ Courage to Soar.  I drive a lot for work and pass the time with audio books from Hoopla.

Career Highlight(s): Travel. I am very grateful for all of the cities and countries I have been able to experience with my jobs. I was able to live in France and NYC and to see London, Barcelona and Milan. I am proud of my accomplishments and what I can share with our kiddos as they plot their career dreams.

I passed the lovely Opera House in Montpellier, France each day on my way to work.

What you love about being a Hoosier? It’s a wonderful place to grow up. The people are nice, you can own a beautiful home with great schools and world class amenities. Bonus, that you can get cheap, quick  flights to Florida in the winter.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grow up? Broadway star with a speciality in tap dancing.

Where you want to be in 10 years? Home renovation projects are complete, travel goals accomplished with a Disney cruise and adult trip to the Greenbrier (falconry and bunker tours are on the bucket list), to  be on track for retirement and have the flexibility to enjoy family life. And be on Kiss Cam (another bucket list item).

My biggest mistake: Relocating for a job. I thought I had negotiated compensation based on my new city and once I was there it was shocking. Eye opening. And not fun. Ok, fun, but expensive. I relocated back to Indy ASAP.

Career/Parenting advice you would like to share with other working mamas: My parenting mantra- Go overboard with your words and presence.
