What are you reading right now? Oola – finding balance in an unbalanced world, Tax Free Wealth, Praying Circles around your Children and The Swamp

Best Mom Moment: Coming home from a long day at work to my son’s smiling face and him yelling momma :) = pure joy ❤️

Career Highlight(s): Moving to Elanco Animal Health after my maternity leave and given the opportunity to lead a Global team of talented Sourcing professionals.  My team continues to make a huge impact and improve the overall productivity and accountability across all non-manufacturing spend categories.

I am also an active mentor with EDGE mentoring, coaching millennial women to achieve the life of their dreams.

I enjoy coaching and mentoring others to take calculated risks.  My husband and I with our business partners opened a Sky Zone indoor Trampoline park four years ago in Evansville.  It was scary and fun.  Two years later we opened our second Sky Zone Space Coast, FL.  Working in corporate America and owning a business really makes you appreciate every aspect of an operation; the skills are highly transferable and enable me to drive value across all aspects of the business.

What you love about being a Hoosier? The sense of “home” that people have living in Indiana.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grow up? Oh boy … that is a tough one.  I wanted to be successful, make that very successful with financial independence and security to retire at a young age.  I have always had a strong work ethic, working multiple summer jobs and coaching youth golf clinics.  I love helping others achieve their maximum potential, while challenging them to push their comfort boundaries

Where you want to be in 10 years? On the beach with a cocktail in my hand watching the sunset, enjoying my long morning run on the beach and spending time with my son, family and friends.

My biggest mistake: Trying to please other people and play corporate politics.  It will kill your soul, steal your joy and at the end of the day doesn’t matter.  Deliver results, make a positive impact, learn as you go and be a good coach and mentor.

Bottom line... know when to listen and when to just move on.

Career/Parenting advice you would like to share with other working mamas: Be there for your children, they need you and most of all you need them.  Their love is unconditional and there is nothing else in the world that can touch the bond of a mother and her child.  Work hard, deliver results and come home to your loving child(ren).
