Education: BS in Computer Science from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, MS in Engineering Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, MBA From the Kelley School of Business
Career: In early 2015 I decided to leave a 15+ year corporate career and turn my passion into a full time career. For the last three years I've run my own digital marketing consultancy, and have now helped hundreds of entrepreneurs to launch and scale their own businesses.
Family life: I've been married for 16 years and have 2 children, 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Favorite family fun spot/activity: Just playing outside!
Favorite "me-time" activity: Kickboxing class or exercising at home
Best Mom Moment: Watching my kids support and encourage each other on their own.
Career Highlight: Making the decision to leave my 6-figure corporate job to start my own business, then receiving thank you messages from other entrepreneurs from around the world that I've helped do the same.
What you love about being a Hoosier? Hands down it's Hoosier hospitality - we're are always willing to step in and help out.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grow up? After I had someone tell me that girls didn't belong in technology, I never looked back :)
Where you want to be in 10 years? Right here in Indiana, supporting my family and continuing to help other entrepreneurs launch the business of their dreams.
My biggest mistake: I wish I wouldn't have let fear stand in my way between what I thought was a "safe" job and building the business of my dreams for as long as I did.
Career/Parenting advice you would like to share with other working mamas: You're not alone! Give yourself permission to ask for help once in a while. And don't forget that taking care of yourself gives you the fuel you'll need to support everything and everyone else in your world.
